About Becky Forest

Becky is the Director of Adult Day Services at BOTH Easterseals Southwest Florida and The Haven. She has worked in the field of assisting adults with disabilities for nearly 15 years. She is responsible for organizing all extracurricular activities on and off both campuses. She also provides vocational training that allows the clients the opportunity to socialize and at the same time earn a paycheck! Becky’s work with these agencies has played a significant role in creating a partnership with Rise Coffee Co. & Nye’s Cream Sandwiches, a coffee and ice cream shop staffed by people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. She also oversees the training of employees with a new, innovative approach with the company Three Six and Zero. Three Six and Zero has created a virtual reality training program for current and future employees which promotes a sense of ease and comfort for those in training by giving them hands on experience in a work environment.

How it Started

Becky was nominated by other staff at The Haven and Easterseals, along with SO many members of our community! The amount she is loved and respected by her work family is extremely heart-warming! Several of her clients even call her “Mom”. There is no shortage of hugs and high fives when Becky enters the room. The impact that she has made and continues to make on our adult community is remarkable! So, 1C1T wanted to surprise her with a few treats to recognize how she goes above and beyond for her students!
